The Breeze By The Decks

I certainly hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.  I know we did.  Scott and I took a little road trip to San Antonio.  We spent some time at Sea World, the Riverwalk, and the Alamo.  We also took the long way home and stopped at the Blue Bonnet Cafe for pie.  It was delicious!

Let’s continue our stroll on deck 5 – The Promenade

For all you dance lovers and club junkies the Liquid Nightclub is located on deck 5 aft.  You must be 18 years old or older in order to be entertained by the DJ in this club.  Entrance into the club is free but of course your beverage purchases are extra. The club has a South Beach Florida theme (I’m sorry Chad but it’s purple).  Make sure and check your Fun Times to see what is happening at the Liquid Nightclub because there are theme nights such as:

  • Ladies Night
  • 70’s & 80’s Night
  • Throwback Night
  • Country Night

Looking for a pub type drinking venue, then try the Red Frog Pub. This pub offers a Key West inspired atmosphere.  Play some foosball, eat some Caribbean food, and drink some private-label brew called Thirsty Frog Red.  All ages can enter this pub but only 21 and older can drink.  If you order from the menu this is an additional charge.

Bonsai Sushi…hhhmmmm…what could this be?  This is an additional charge eatery.  They are open for lunch and dinner.  They serve soup, sides, sushi, sakes, and desserts.  The prices are not bad at all.  You can get individual rolls starting at $1.50 each.  There is a Bento box that offers miso soup, salad, California roll, and 3 pieces of sushi for $10.  If you want the Ship, it serves 2 for $17.  The ship includes miso soup, side salad, bonsai triple E roll, California roll, and 6 pieces of sushi. It sounds delicious and I know my kiddos all love them some sushi!

The last stop on deck 5 for us today will be Fat Jimmy’s C-Side BBQ.  Jimmy’s is located outside on deck 5. The offerings are just what you would expect from a BBQ place sausage, barbecue chicken breast, and of course the classic pulled pork sandwich. There is also baked beans, cole slaw, and potato salad, to name a few. There is no additional charge to have your lunch here.  I’m pretty sure we will be checking this place out and I’m also willing to bet $1 that Scott will be partaking in some pulled pork.

There is so much to do on The Promenade and we still have a whole other blog post to go before we cover it all.  I hope everyone is using those countdowns and keeping up the excitement!
