Ship Entertainment

Let’s talk about all of the ways that we will be entertained for our five day cruise on the Carnival Triumph.  Oh, did I mention it’s only 85 days until we are sailing away and only 83 days until we are all together as one big happy family.

On the first full sea day, Tuesday the 14th of January, there will be a formal night for dining.  No jeans, no shorts, no flip flops or sandals or tennis shoes.  We all get to dress up and be real fancy like.  This will be a great photo opportunity.  There is also another theme night but it does not list which night it is.  It is called the Electric White Night Party in Club Hollywood.  All guests wear white and dance to high energy dance music.

There are several shows every night all night.  The Punchliner Comedy Club has comedians that are not PG rated! No one under the age of 18 is allowed into the club.

DJ Irie’s Spin’iversity plays in Club Hollywood and on the pool deck.

There is karaoke, the Hasbro Game Show, Not-so-Newlywed Game, a passenger talent show, trivia games, and the hairiest chest competition which are all open to anyone playing.

The Rome Lounge covers three decks of the ship and is where most of the night life activities take place.  There is plenty of seating but for the best seats it is advised to get there early. The Wonderful World Show is a journey around the world through the dancing and music of different nations. The Big Easy is a New Orleans themed piano bar with interesting costume and set design. Kevin & Caruso Magic Show is a large scale magic show.

The World Promenade is on Deck 5 and houses the Club Monaco Casino, Olympic Sports Bar with ESPN streaming on the tvs, and the California Wine Bar that features…wine.  Underground Tokyo which is the ships arcade. The Venezia Lounge features a cover band that plays a variety of familiar light tunes and a dance floor.

A Calypso band plays by the pool deck and dancing is encouraged.  Sounds like a good people watching spot to me!

Inside the atrium area is where the Capitol Bar and shopping is located.  The Washington Library has a huge selection of board and table games along with books that can be checked out.  The Oxford Lounge is a cigar bar at night and during the day is a laid back quiet area for reading.  The Internet Cafe has eight computers set up for use but remember that you will have to purchase an internet package that will be applied to your sail ‘n sign card.

For anyone interested in staying fit there is a large gym on board.  Several classes are available for a small fee if you would like to do yoga or pilates.  There is a full service spa area that offers manicures, pedicures, hair cuts, massages, etc for a charge.  There are steam rooms, saunas and hot tubs in the spa and they are free to use by all guests.  There are also showers in the spa.  They are multiple head showers like being in a rain forest.  This is a good place to take a shower if you have multiple people trying to get ready at the same time.

I’m pretty excited for the next blog because it will be about some cool happenings on the ship and a whole section for Uriah!
